Sawsan Charif has spent a lifetime at the intersection of language, culture, and communication. Born with a native command of Arabic and English, she began her career as an administrative specialist and translator with the U.S. State Department, then spent two years as a conference interpreter at the United Nations — work that demanded not just linguistic precision, but the ability to carry meaning across cultural contexts in real time.

The following four decades took her deep into the corporate world, where she served as a Legal Department Administrator, Legal Administrator, and HR Director. She brought the same cross-cultural intelligence to every role: the ability to understand what people mean, not just what they say.

Alongside her corporate career, Sawsan built a second life as an ESL educator, helping non-native English speakers find their voices in professional settings. Her Master's degree in English Literature grounds her work in the discipline of language, while her lived experience bridges theory and practice in ways that textbooks rarely manage.

Three years ago, she founded Brain Corner Publishing LLC in Texas — an independent press dedicated to books that are practical, intelligent, and genuinely useful.
